"One second." I told Spence. I pushed Oz out the door and walked out. I closed the door and started walking down towards the basketball courts. He followed me.
"You really hurt me." I told him as I sat down at a picnic table. There was a man showing a little boy how to shoot hoops. It was cute and it made me smile.
"I'm sorry." Oz said as he sat down next to me.
"Sorry doesn't cut it." I said.
"You screwed up just as much as I did." He said.
I looked at him.
"Okay, okay. Mine was a little worse." He said. "But, I'm sorry."
I stood up. "I need time."
"You've had a lot of time." He said.
"You were still seeing her like yesterday." I said.
"Only to make you jelous so you'd come crawling back to me." He said.
I rolled my eyes.
"Stupid. I know." He said.
"Very." I said. "Call me next week."
He just nodded. I walked back inside. Spence stood up looking angry.
"Don't worry about it. He's an idiot." I said.
"You know I'm gonna worry either way." He said.
"He's harmless. Trust me." I said.
He sighed. "Whatever you say."
"Trust me." I said smiling.
He smiled and gave me a kiss. "I love you." He said softly as he put his arms around me. I didn't know what to say. I was never one to fall for someone very early in a relationship. I just held him tighter. "You're amazing." I told him.
"You're more amazing." He said.
"No, no, no." I giggled. "You are."
"No. You." He said.
I laughed. "NO! YOU!"
He laughed. "So we agree that we are a couple of pretty amazing people." He said.
I smiled and nodded. He just laughed. We layed down on the floor and stared at the ceiling.
"I'm not use to my life being so calm." I said.
"Calm? Your apartment burnt down." He laughed.
I pushed him playfully. "I just mean that I haven't been doing much with myself. I think I need some excitement. I need to do something spontanious." I explained.
"Spontanious." He said as if he were trying to think of something. "Come with me." He stood up. He took my hand and helped me up.
"Okay. . ." I giggled.
"Grab your pool key." He said.
"Are we going swimming?" I asked.
"Just grab the key." He said.
I picked up my keys and he grabbed my hand. I kept laughing. We got outside and he went running down the street. "You are acting like a kid!" I shouted out to him. He just let out a loud chuckle. When he reached the pool, he plopped down onto the grass catching his breath. It was starting to get dark and there were only a few lights that lit up the neighborhood. I walked past him and unlocked the pool gate. He got up and followed me in. He took off his shirt.
"Oh no." I laughed.
"Oh yes." He said slipping off his shorts.
"Spence!" I giggled looking around for people.
He just smiled and nodded as he slipped off his boxers. He took off his watch, threw it onto the ground and jumped into the pool.
"What if someone comes?" I asked.
He rolled his eyes. "You JUST said you needed excitement. Get in here so I can have my way with you." He said.
"I am NOT doing that in the public pool." I said. I couldn't figure out why I was felt so nervous and paranoid about getting cought. Maybe I liked him more than I thought.
I sat down at the edge of the pool and put my feet in. The water was pretty chilly.
"Get in." He said. "Or I will pull you in."
"What if the cops come?" I asked. "The pool closes at 8:00."
"Well, that's gay. Get in." He said swimming over to me.
"Don't you dare pull me in." I said as he grabbed my legs with his hands.
