"You think Ange and Terrance will be okay?" I asked Oz as we walked into our apartment.
"I don't know. It looks like it." He said.
"Yeah. They're a perfect couple and they're absolutely insane if they don't see that." I said.
He just smiled. I went to my bedroom and changed into my pajama's. I climbed into bed and turned on my little tv that I had on my nightstand. It was about really small, but it was good enough for me. I turned over on my side to watch. I changed the channel a few times and stopped when I saw an old episode of Saved by the Bell on. I heard my door open. "Hey." I heard Oz say. I didn't look back. I just smiled. He climbed into bed with me and put his arm around me. "Is this okay?" He asked.
"Of course, silly." I said.
"I don't want to disrespect your privacy or anything." He said.
"I'd let you know if you were." I said. "But, just cuddling with me in bed is not disrespecting my privacy."
"What if I hopped in the shower with you next time I heard you in there?" He asked.
"I'm thinking it might be too soon for that." I giggled.
"Damn." He said.
"Oh hush." I said.
"What's the difference? I've already seen you naked." He said.
"It's different." I said.
He didn't say anything further about it. We just layed there watching tv for a while.
"Midnight snack?" He asked.
"Sure." I said smiling.
He got up and left the room. He came back a few minutes later with two bowls of chocolate ice cream.
"Aww." I said sitting up. He sat down next to me and handed me a bowl and a spoon.
"Ice cream's always good right?" He said.
"Of course. You know me." I giggled as I ate a big spoonfull.
"I keep thinking about Carmen. I try so hard to get it out of my head." I said.
"She'll be okay." He said.
"I hope so." I said. "I always said I'd never let a guy get in the way of a friendship."
"That was probably before you'd ever been in the situation though." He said.
"Yup."
"So, it's different. You can always try and predict stuff like that, but until you're actually there, you don't really know what you'd do." He said.
"True."
"Whoa." He said looking at the TV.
"Nice." I said sarcastically.
A Girls Gone Wild commercial was on. "I hate this late night crap."
"Yeah. It's funny though." He said. "Can you beleive they actually have sex lines that only text message? How could that possibly be hot enough for it to be worth it?"
I shrugged. "I guess it works for some people. . ."
"You?"
"No!" I said laughing. "I'm just saying it obviously works for some people."
He laughed. "Okay." He gave me a look like I was lying and I knew from experience. I just laughed.
"So, if I was away on a trip, you wouldn't have phone sex with me?" He asked.
"That is a lot different than text messaging." I said.
"Even if we sent naughty pictures to eachother?" He asked.
I laughed. "I don't know. Be quiet."
He just laughed.
We finished our ice cream and set the bowls down on my dresser.
"I'll clean it up in the morning." I said.
"Sure you will." He said.
"I'm not THAT messy." I said.
He pointed to an old cup on my nightstand that was from a few weeks earlier. It was some kind of soda from the gas station.
"Okay, so I am. Shut up." I said.
"It's okay. We're messy together." He said. "What do you say we clean together tomorrow?" He suggested.
"Sounds good." I said smiling, even though it didn't sound exciting to me at all!
He layed back in the bed. "Well, goodnight." He said.
I turned off the TV and layed down with him. I fell asleep soon after.
