I was in the bathroom helping Ange highlight her hair when my phone rang.
"Damn it! I have hair dye all over my hands." I said.
"Just get it in a second." She said.
"You hair going to look awesome!" I said.
"I can't wait. It's been so long since I've done anything to my hair." She said.
When I was done, i put the towel over her hair and set the timer, then walked out to the living room where my phone was.
"YELLO!" I shouted in the phone.
"Huh, you okay Lola?" Oz asked.
"Oh. Hi. Yeah, i'm fine." I said, really not wanting to talk to him.
"Did you get your stuff yesterday?" He asked.
"Yeah." I said.
"You're welcome." He said.
"Oz, why did you call?" I asked getting annoyed.
"To make sure you got your things." He said.
"You mean to make sure that someone told me you came in with Carmen?" I asked.
"No. Why would I do that?" He asked defensively.
"I don't know, why WOULD you come in to MY work with her?" I asked.
"She wanted to talk to you." He said.
"Why? And I thought you were upset with her still too?" I asked.
"I talked to her, and we are on speaking terms. She is very sorry." He said.
"I don't give a shit." I said in a sing-song voice. He sighed.
"Please just talk to her." He said.
"NO! Why is this so important to you?" I asked.
"Because I would like to date her, but I want to be friends with you still." He said.
"What? You said yourself you think she is crazy!" I yelled.
"Well I'd rather her be crazy then me be fucking alone!" He shouted. I was shocked by how upset he sounded.
"Oz, I can be civil with her, but I don't want to talk to her. She lied, to BOTH of us, so she could sleep with you while we were dating. So excuse me if I'm still upset about it!" I said, and hung up the phone.
"Whoa. Everything okay?" Ange asked, peeking out of the bathroom.
"Yeah. That was Oz. He wants to date Carmen now." I said.
"WHAT?" Ange asked.
"I don't want to get into it. How much time is left on your hair?" I asked.
"20 minutes." She said.
"Lets watch some Jackass while we wait!" I said. She laughed, and put it in. We sat down on the couch to wait for her hair to finish processing.
