Chris lived with his cousin Criag, in a pretty nice house. I was impressed. He set us up in a their spare room. Oz asked out sleeping on the couch, and Chris told him it was the most uncomfortable thing in the world, but that he had a cot he could set out in the game room for him. "That would be great." Oz told him. He took his bag and followed Chris out of the room. I sighed and changed into some pajamas. There was a light tap on my door, and opened it. "Hey." Chris said, and handed me a bottle of water. "I know you get thirsty in the night." "Thanks." I said, and smiled. "Can I come in?" He asked. "Yeah, sure." I said, and let him in. He sat down in a chair that was in the corner. I sat down on the bed indian style. "So, fucking Chicago?" He asked. "Yeah." I said. "With Oz? What do you do up there?" He asked. "Do you remember Terrance and Angie?" I asked. "Vaguely." He said. "I own a record store up there with them. I bought my share with my inheritance from Grandpa." I told him. "Wow. Thats great! I knew you moved, but I didn't know where. I didn't know you left with Oz either." He said. "Word didn't get around?" I asked. "Nope. But, I was the asshole in that situation, so I'm not surprised." He said. "Uh, so you and Oz, aren't together?" "No. We kind of sort of started to but...it's a long story." I said. "Hey, I understand." He said. "I like your nose ring." "Thanks. I just got it." I told him. "I like your hair too." He said. "Thanks." I said. "So. What's it like to be back home?" He asked. "Warmer. I lot warmer." I said, and he laughed. "It was neat driving here from the airport. Right through down town. Everything is so familiar here." "Well, it is home." He said. "Chicago is home now. I'm nervous about seeing everyone. I kind of cut off all contact when I moved." I told him. "Don't be. Its going to be fun." He said. "I took a few days off work, so I can drive you guys around and stuff while you are here." He said. "Thanks." I said. "Yeah. Well, I'll see you in the morning." He said, and stood up. "Night." I said, and he left. I climbed in bed and feel asleep, in spite of my racing mind.
