Chapter Seventy-Nine

Sarah said...

"This is so good." I said with my mouth full. I had take a huge bite of my steak.
"Thanks." Dad said smiling.
"You fly back to Chicago tonight?" Mom asked.
I nodded.
"Will you fly back out for your birthday? We want to have a family reunion the weekend of your birthday. We figured we could celebrate yours and your cousin Jen's birthdays." She said.
I shrugged.
"Yes." Chris said. "I'll be sure she comes out."
I glared at him and he just looked away.
I sighed and continued to eat. When we finished eating, I gave them all hugs and we left.
"How can you not miss them?" Chris asked as we headed back to his place.
"I do."
"No you don't. You're too damn selfish." He said.
I ignored him. When we got back to his house, I stormed inside. I packed up all of my things. As soon as I was done, I got a call from Oz. He said he was staying a couple more days. "Yeah, that's smart. Let her splattered your heart onto the pavement again." I said and hung up. I had Chris drop me off at the airport early and I was able to catch an earlier flight. I slept most of the flight and took a cab home. I called Spencer to make sure he knew he didn't have to pick me up. I layed back in my bed and I was so glad to be home. I called Spencer to see what he was up to and he said he would come hang out with me for a while. I took a shower and changed into my favorite light jeans and my black and red striped t-shirt.
"I am so glad to be back." I told Spencer when I opened the door. I hugged him tightly.
He laughed. "Wow."
"I am just SO glad to be back." I said.
"Come relax." He said. We sat down on the couch. "Did you miss me?"
"Very much." I said.
"I missed you too." He said. "I don't know what I would do if you ever moved back there."
"I'd call you all the time." I said smiling. "I don't see that happening any time soon though."
"You might change your mind when you're ready to start a family." He said.
I just shrugged.
"So, what is the hardest decision you ever had to make?" He asked.
I smiled. "I don't know."
"Think about it." He said.
"Moving here I guess." I said. "Away from Chris, my family, my dog, my chick, my horse. It's sad that I miss my chick and dog the most."
"Chick?" He asked.
"Sunny. She's so cute." I said. "Althought she is getting big. . ."
He laughed. "Glad you're back."
"Me too." I said. "Me too."
