I sighed as I was hopping out of the shower. I went to the bedroom and closed the door. I dried off a little more and got dressed. I decided to call April, Julia's sister that we hung out with a lot. Although I was enjoying my time with Chris, getting to know him again was scaring me a little. I felt like I was starting to get a little crush on him again. I was always like that with cute guys. April said she would come pick me up and we'd go out to Scottsdale where she was living. She wanted to take me out dancing, but I told her it wasn't my thing. She called all of our old friends and decided we would all drive up to Lake Havasu to go swimming and spend the day there. I was excited to go to the lake. We went to Walmart and I bought a swim suit and some clothes. I didn't feel like going back to Chris' to get my stuff. I figured anything else I needed, I could borrow from April. She invited a few of the other girls over to spend the night with us. She invited Stacy, Crystal, Lauren and Beth. We were all insperable from third grade all the way until high school. Then, some of us ended up at other schools and only saw eachother once in a while. Freshman year, Lauren joined the Cheerleading Squad and became to good for us. By the beginning of Senior year, she realized what a bitch she had been and apoligized to us. I guess we all just kind of grew apart. It was graduation night that brought us back together again. Beth had a huge party at her house while her parents were out of town and we all got reaquainted. I felt bad though, because we all promised we would never grow apart again. Then I moved and didn't contact any of them. I felt even worse every time I thought about Julia. "Drunk Twister like old times?" April suggested laughing. I laughed. "Yeah so I know we weren't drunk in fifth grade, but we did play twister." She said. "Drunk Twister sounds even more fun." I said. She hadn't brought up Julia at all. I figured she still wasn't really ready to talk about her. I told her all about what I was up to and apologized for not staying in touch. She said she understood, but it didn't seem like she really did. "So, now lucky man in your life?" She asked changing the subject. "Nope." "Well, this Spencer guy seems like a total sweetheart and pretty hot. I kinda wish you had a picture of him." She said. I laughed. "Oz is a dweeb." She said. We both started laughing really hard. We use to call everyone dweebs. It was only cool for a short amount of time. "Do you remember when and why we stopped using that word?" She asked. "How could I forget?" I said. "We were so stupid." "David Gilbert." She said laughing really hard. "He. . ." I laughed. "I know. I remember. We heard him tell Carlos Mendoza that he was uncool for using the word dweeb. He told him it was so last year." "Yeah! And then YOU were telling everyone that! You little snob." I said laughing. "You told Crystal and she got all pissed off at you." She laughed. I shook my head. "God we were stupid." "Hey come on now. "David Gilbert was rad and he totally knew what he was talking about." She said. "I still don't know why everyone worshiped him." I said. "You thought he was hot too and you so worshiped him." She said. I just shrugged my shoulders laughing. She pushed me playfully. "You thought he was the coolest thing since sliced bread." She said. "So!" I laughed.
