"You call!" Beth said, handing me the paper.
"NO! I'm not calling!" I said, and tried to give the number to April, but she wouldn't take it.
"FINE!" I said, and pulled out my cell phone. I dialed the number, and was relieved when when no one answered after a few rings. I was about to hang up, when a guy picked up.
"Hello?" He asked.
"Hi, this is Lola. Uh, from the gas station." I told him.
"Oh hey! You called, right on." He said. "My name is Andy by the way."
"Well, I'm Lola, Andy. We're at the front entrance still, where are you boys at?" I asked.
"We are by the docks. Uh....You know what, I'll See you if you drive by. I'll stand in the parking lot and waive when I see you." He said.
"Okay, we're driving there now." I told him. I stayed on the phone with him until we saw him waiving. We parked, and got out. They already had the boat out on the water.
"Hey. Andy." He said, looking around. I figured he was trying to figure out who Lola was.
"Lola." I said, and waived.
"Hey! I'm glad you ladies came out!" He said, and hugged me. It kind of startled me.
"Whoa, okay. I introduced everyone, then he helped us get our stuff from the jeep, and climb up onto the boat.
"Okay, I'm Andy, this is Brad, Roly, Kurt, Sam, and Richard, or Dick as we lovingly call him." Andy said, then introduced us.
My eye caught Kurt right away. He was the only one that looked to be my type. He was tall, and probably the less built of all the guys. His hair was dyed black, and he had a tribal tattoo covering his whole left shoulder. He caught me checking him out and smiled at me. I giggled.
"Holy shit! Look at this boat!" April said, walking around.
"It's my dad's." Andy said.
"Well tell your dad fucking thanks!" April said.
"Geeze. Potty mouth." Beth said, and pushed her shoulder. April stumbled, and Roly reached out and steadied her.
"Thank you." She said, and smiled at him.
"So, are you ladies ready party?" Andy asked. Sam and Dick were pretty quiet.
"Sam is driving the boat, so he wont be drinking or anything, don't worry." Andy said.
"That sucks for Sam." Stacy said.
"Nah, I don't drink." He said. He sounded oddly like Johnny knoxville.
"Well, I'll keep you company." Stacy said, and followed him to the front cabin. I took off my shirt and my shorts so I was in my bikini. I smiled when I saw Kurt checking me out from the corner of my eye. Crystal and Lauren stayed togeter and walked over to talk to Andy and Sam. April was standing with Roly and laughing at something he had said. I watched Kurt walk to the back of the boat and haul up the anchor. I walked over to him.
"So, are you from here?" I asked him.
"Actualy I'm from Maine." He said. He had somewhat of an accent. "What about you?" He asked.
"I'm from here, but I live in Chicago right now." I told him.
"I was born there." He said, and tied up the anchor.
Andy walked over and handed us each a beer.
"Thanks." I said.
"You got it." He said, and walked around to the other girls handing out beer.
"So, do you always hang out with guys how are complete strangers?" Kurt asked me, and I laughed.
"No. This is a new thing for all of us." I told him.
"How old are you? If I can ask?" He asked me.
"I'm twenty-six." I told him.
"Thank god. Andy has a tendacy to pick up girls a lot younger then us, and it gets annoying." He said.
"Really?" I asked.
"Yeah. We all go to ASU. They're all rich boys." He said, and I giggled.
"You aren't?" I asked.
"Nope. I guess I'm just average." He said.
"Well, me too." I told him, and held up my beer bottle. He held his up, and we clanked them together.
"Cheers." We both said.
"Let's put some good music on, before Roly and Dick get to it. Otherwise we'll be listening to something stupid." He said, and I laughed. I followed him to the cabin where Stacy and Sam were.
"Hey!" Stacy said, and pointed to Sams back and then giving a thumbs up. I laughed. Kurk put in Sum 41.
"Kick ass." I said, and he turned around.
"You like music?" He asked me, and I laughed.
"I own a record store in Chicago." I told him.
"Awesome." He said, and smiled.
