"Okay, so who wants to be in charge of tickets?" Terrance asked.
We were having an all staff meeting about the private show.
"We need to make sure that nobody gets in who shouldn't be here." Terrance said.
"Can we get a little background on this band?" Angie asked.
"Christian Rock band." I said. "They're from Green Bay, Wisconsin."
"Okay." Angie said.
"I'll take care of tickets. I think it should be something that nobody else can copy." Warren said.
"Lydia's creative. I'm sure you two could put something together. Call a few places. I'll leave that up to you." I said.
They both nodded. We went over everything else that we had to go over. We pretty much covered everything. We only had a few days to put it all together.
"Smurf, do you mind sitting behind a table and collecting the 5 dollars from everyone and giving them their cd?" I asked.
"Sure." He said smiling. He looked excited.
"So, it's all covered." I said.
We went over our notes again and sent everyone home an hour early. I was exhausted and tired when I got home. Oz was sitting in the corner of the living room on his computer. He just looked up at me, then back at his computer. I set my backpack down and went straight the bathroom to take a nice long relaxing bath. I turned my radio on softly and layed back. I closed my eyes and heard knocking on the door. "Yes?" I asked.
"We need to talk about our living situation." I heard Oz say.
"This will all pass." I said. "Just give it time."
"No. It won't pass." He said. "I need to move out."
"Oz!" I said.
"I'm going to Terrance's to watch the football game. I may not be back tonight." He said.
I felt my eyes start to tear up instantly. I heard him grab his keys and walk out the front door. He never even got into football. It was obvious he was just trying to avoid me. I layed in the bath for another half hour, then dried off. I layed in my bed and picked up my book of poems. I felt lonely at the apartment without Oz there. I really didn't want him to move out. I started dozing off until I heard my phone ringing. I rushed to my purse in the kitchen and picked up my phone. I didn't recognize the number, but I picked it up anyway.
"It's Warren." I heard.
"Oh. Hey." I said.
"Not sure why I'm calling. . ." He said.
There was a long silence.
"I guess I just keep thinking about you." He said.
"Oh."
"Sorry." He said. "I really didn't mean to ruin things with Oz."
"You didn't. He did." I said.
"I guess I'll see you at work." He said.
"Yeah."
"Goodnight." He said and hung up.
"That was weird." I said as I hung up the phone.
I took my towel off and changed into my flannel pajamas. I made sure the front door was locked and went to bed.
